Description: Traveled Lane Trailers, Inc.

Lately, we've been fortunate to take some very clean trailers in trade. This Hawk is one of them. It's a 1999, but it could easily pass for a trailer that's just a few years old. The previous owners now need to haul 3 horses and, as nice as the Hawk is, 3 won't fit, so it's now available to meet your trailering needs!

We're typing this initial writeup off-site while waiting for the ice and snow to clear, We mention that as preface to say that we don't have our notes with us and will be typing from memory, but when we get back to the office, we'll check our notes and update information as required.

This 2H straight load Hawk has an aluminum skin over a corrosion-protected galvanneal steel frame. The walls are insulated and it has a fiberglass roof. We haven't taken a tape to it yet, but body height is at least 7'6" and body length including the broad V-nose appears to be about 12 feet, so large horses will fit comfortably.

There's plenty of natural light and ventilation, thanks to large windows at front, rear & sides plus a pair of 2-way roof vents. The walls, stall divider and butt & chest bars are all padded. Up front in the horse area, there's an owner-added storage box front plus a row of bridle hooks. If you don't like hand-cranking a jack, please note that this Hawk is equipped with an electric jack that's powered from one of the pins on the 7-pole connector that's common on most trucks and SUVs these days. (That is, the jack doesn't require an on-board battery.)

In the past year or so, the trailer has received wheel service (including new brake components) and new radial tires and the panel in the ramp was replaced. At some point, someone clipped one of the original fiberglass fenders, so they were replaced with Aluminum Tread Plate (ATP) fenders, a not-inexpensive upgrade. In addition to the mechanical systems that have been maintained, the very clean overall appearance indicates that the trailer has received regular cosmetic attention as well.

We invite you to stop by and check out this very clean and well-maintained Hawk. Used trailers are always in demand and extra nice used trailers in particular don't stick around long!
