Here's a popular model, the Sundowner Sunlite 777. It's a warmblood-sized 2H straight load with a spacious, well-equipped dressing room. It's a private-sale trailer we're showing for the owner.
By our tape, the horse area is nearly 10.5 feet, body width is 6'9" and interior height is 7'7", so large horses fit comfortably. And on the subject of comfort for your horses, there are roof vents and all-around windows and the owner had a fan installed, so there's excellent light & ventilation. The walls of the horse area are lined & insulated and the walls, stall divider and butt & chest bars are padded. For the comfort and safety of the horse handlers, there's a wide escape door and running board on each side and a ramp with effective spring assist.
Other desirable features in the horse area include a head divider, removable stud divider panel and feed bags.
The spacious dressing room has adjustable-height saddle racks on a swing-out mount, bridle hooks, brush tray, several windows, a roof vent and miscellaneous hooks. (Please note – the owner’s accessories were left in the dressing room so you can see how much room it has, but the owner is keeping those items and the storage container in the right stall.)
In addition to the fan in the horse area previously mentioned, there's a 12 volt fan in the dressing room. Both fans are wired into the trailer's electrical system.
This Sundowner features an aluminum skin over a steel frame. The floor is of metal, coated with a truck bedliner-type product and there are rubber floor mats. We've seen this floor in other Sundowners, so even though we don't know Sundowner's exact name for the feature, it's a factory floor. Other desirable features include smooth-riding torsion axles, brakes on all wheels and radial tires (including spare, which is mounted on the front wall of the dressing room, not visible in the pictures).
Just to recap, this well-equipped Sundowner is a private-sale trailer we're showing for the owner. We invite you to stop by and check it out!
