2007 Equispirit XL
• 2H BP, Non-Dressing Room, Straight Load
• Horse compartment interior is 7’8"T, 6’W, 11’L (built with 1' extra stall length and 2" more ceiling clearance than base model for large horses)
• Weight 2780 lb stock
• Fully insulated roof and walls
• 1-piece fiberglass roof
• 10 windows all around, white interior: LIGHT, AIRY, AND WELCOMING, esp because the entire nose area is open. No sense of claustrophobia.
• 2 escape doors
• 15 running lights on top, 4 on bottom, 3 lights per fender (lights up like a Christmas tree at night)
• 2 full-length rear doors + easy-lift ramp (with an ultra-grippy rubber mat). Extra safety in case of rear-end collision.
• Loading light at ramp
• Dual speed stall fan, driver side
• 2-way roof vents over each horse stall
• Head bumper pad at rear
• Quick-release breast/butt bars
• Center partition can be removed or locked to the side for a larger hauling area
• Wall mats and floor mats in excellent condition
• PT wood floor in excellent condition (floor boards are just stained in one area).
This trailer has had 2 owners: it hauled 4x during its first life and the last 2 summers to local trails with me. It has only been urinated in ONCE and I rinsed/dried the mats and wood floor immediately. It has only lived in CA and ID (no East Coast humidity, no salted roads).
Notes:
• Driver-side fender got hung up on a gate post on a tight turn 1 year ago. Replaced entire fiberglass fender (OEM, painted by Equispirit to match). Replaced all fender lights. Good as new.
• 1 horizontal aluminum bar from a ditch-side window popped off (I hung a bucket from it that my horse wedged at a weird angle). Was unable to weld the bar back on. Slag from the attempt burned a hole in the wall padding directly below one of the welds. It is currently covered by gorilla tape. See photos.
• Some oxidized exterior paint (from its previous storage in CA).
• Rust on the steel rims and 2 dings on ramp. See photo.
The Equispirit XL sells for $29,000 new. I have $15,500 in it from adding dressing room functionality in the nose (3-tier saddle rack, 6-hook bridle rack, Berber carpet wall padding, door grooming organizer, metal bracket with Trailer Aid, 6' mesh stall guard across the nose, 2 hanging mangers, several lay-flat hooks for securing a bale on the floor/stall guard in place, etc.), plus upgrading to Goodyear Endurance tires (1 yr ago), replacing 6 incandescents with LED exterior lights (1 yr ago), and installing a new electric breakaway switch (Oct '25).
I love this trailer: it is safe, tight, and tows like a dream. The only reason I am selling is because it is too tall for the winter storage space I now have. Clean title in hand. Located in Eastern Idaho.
