This well-kept Featherlite 2H straight load came in on trade toward a new Jamco. It's a solidly built aluminum trailer (aluminum frame, floor and skin) and has been well maintained. It came from Virginia, which requires regular inspections.
This trailer doesn't look huge in pictures, but it's deceptively roomy. By our tape, body length is 11 feet, body height is 7'4" and body width is 6 feet (all dimensions approximate). We measure nearly 4' from the horse side of the bars to the front, so there's plenty of head and working space. Stall divider, walls, butt & chest bars are all padded.
As you can see in the photos, this Featherlite has an abundance of windows for great natural light and ventilation. There's also a pair of 2-way roof vents for additional ventilation. There's a spring-assisted ramp with curtain doors (with windows) above. The ramp has a gentle slope for comfortable unloading. Te center-mounted escape door gives good access to the front area. The trailer comes with an easily removable (and large!) head divider. (That's the head divider on the floor near the front of the trailer.)
Other nice touches include generously-sized 225-width radial tires (including spare), smooth-riding torsion axles and brakes on all wheels.
