Traveled Lane Trailers, Inc.
This Kingston Newport Classic Side Ramp with Dressing Room came in recently on trade. We sold it new about 2 years ago. The owner loved it, but it became necessary for her to transport 3 horses. She now has her new 3H trailer and we have this versatile Kingston Newport. We’d love for it to become your Kingston Newport! It has a rear ramp for loading and side ramp for convenient front-unloading. There’s also a spacious and well-equipped dressing room.
As a Kingston Classic, this Newport has an aluminum skin over aluminum frame and useful features such as all-around windows and a roof vent over each stall. In standard configuration, natural light and ventilation are excellent, but this one takes things a step further - air movement is aided by a pair of fans on the front wall of the horse area.
And speaking of the horse area, at approximately 12.5 feet (with about 5.5 feet forward of the breast bars), 6'8" body width and 7'5" body height, it's sized to comfortably accommodate 2 large horses. Side and rear ramps are equipped with Kingston's easy-lift adjustable spring assist. Even if you don't need a front-unload capability for your horses, the side ramp is so easy to use, it's a convenient way for YOU to scoot in and out of the trailer. On a hot or rainy day, lower the side ramp, open the escape door and you'll have your own breezeway, right in the trailer! By the way, that side ramp is nearly 5' wide, so large horses can exit without contortions. Walls, stall divider, breast bars and butt bars are all padded and the butt bars feature Kingston's fast-action V-plate butt bar latches to get you out of the kick zone quickly.
The dressing room is nearly 5 feet from nose to rear wall. It has opening windows in the nose, door and rear wall. As with the horse area, natural light and ventilation are excellent and with that window in the rear wall, the DR can provide additional airflow through the horse area as you travel. This one is equipped with upgraded saddle racks, Saddle Bosses, to be specific. There's a brush tray on the door, blanket bar, clothing rod and several bridle hooks (and the wall is carpeted to keep your bridles from clanking).
Kingston has been in business since 1960 under the same ownership and has a well-deserved reputation for producing durable, safe and thoughtfully-equipped trailers. Used Kingstons don’t often come on the market and front-unload Kingstons are even harder to find. Don't miss out. We invite you to stop by and check out this versatile Kingston Newport!
