Thanks for all the kind words, People without horses dont understand, I know that I don't post here but I do read alot here. Jazz was my best friend for 14 years I got him at 9 months, trained him and only let one other person ever ride him. He could be a brat sometimes but he was my brat.:-) Jazz was a Tenn. Walker. Someday I might be able to afford to buy another horse, but no horse will ever take his place.

A couple years back I had to put my best friend down. He was 25 yr old AQHA that I got when he was two. Used to say he was my oldest son since I got him 2 yrs before 1st son was born. Took about a year before I could talk about him without crying. But you'll be OK.
May God Bless you with Peace that surpasses all understanding.

I lost my best friend Cloud 9 last December 17. One morning he was lying dead in the pasture. That was a shock to say the least. I now have Keeper a 12 y.o. KMH. I love him with almost all my heart. I say almost because there's a little piece reserved for Cloud. There's also a little piece for Shamba, a 1/2 Arab, 1/2 Standard bred that I rode with for 28 of his 31 years on earth.
My heart is heavy for what I have lost. But, also full with memories of the wonderful years I had with these two horses. And now, I look forward to many magnificent rides with Keeper. "one door closes and another door opens." You will also weather this blow and move on.
