Stidham is a family based operation out of Chickasha, Oklahoma. They have been in the trailer business since 1958. I have had the pleasure of meeting Jack Stidham, Sr., who recently passed. I have also visited the factory and meant the grandsons who now run the business. I have owned Stidhams since 1970, and purchased my last 2 sight unseen - and have not been disappointed. In looking through my Stidham file, and found one of my price lists is from 1981. The "Deluxe Thoroughbred Race Horse Trailer," (bumper pull) is 7' in height, 6'6" wide, "all open front removable breast bars, full walkout door, (right front), padding, mats, gravel guard, spring loaded drop tail ramp, metal tail doors, full lighting system, clearance and dome, white wall tires, removable and swingable solid head separator, electric brakes on 2 wheels, one tone paint. Retail price on March 1, 1981 was $4,776.92. Of course, there are extras and up grades available. As a side note, I have sold 2 Stidhams over the years to upgrade. One I sold for what I paid for it after 22 years of ownership, the other I sold for close to what I paid for it 12 years after purchasing it new. Hope this helps!

This post doesn't have any reflection on the quality of Stidham trailers.  I personally really like them.  I tried to call their main office in Oklahoma awhile ago because I was looking for a (fold up) 1/2 step and I know they have them on their trailers.  Well no one would answer and when I got a hold of a dealer in OH, he told me they were out of business.  No way to verify this but thought I would pass along what I was told.

I tried to contact their main # on their website and got a standard answering machine message,"Please leave a message after the beep." I would expect it to say "Thank you for contacting Stidham trailers,our business hours are-- ect ect."

Stidham are you out there??
