Hi Folks,
I'm looking to buy a 96-02 model, decent, gooseneck, 3 horse slant, finished or not, do have a budget though. I pretty much know what I'm looking at as far as integrity goes. I would be interested to know of any specific "unknown" things to look for with any make. The Sundowners seem to be reasonably priced, but I've heard some concerning things. We can all be opinionated at times, but I'd like to hear about some first hand experiences or knowledge with any make, Sundowners especially. Thanks.

Our first horse trailer puchase was a '99 8012 Sundowner 3/H and absolutely had no problems with it. In '03 we ordered an 8016 Sundowner 3/H again perfect. Last October we went to the Congress in Ohio to see all the manufacturers because we were ready for a new trailer. I fell in love with the Trail Boss and Bunkhouse Interiors but Sundowner has it own interior co. When it came time to make the final decision on a new trailer my husband would not change because structurally our experience was excellent with the Sundowners. I know that people can have different experiences with manufacturers but we have not had a problem with our Sundowner. We traded in our '03 8016 Sundowner 3/H in Shepherdsville, Ky., when we ordered our new Sundowner. Good Luck

The Sundowner brand has been discussed a great deal within this forum. If you do a search for the last year, you will find a multitude of opinions, for and against.

I have a 1998 18 ft 3 horse titan renegade II gooseneck that has a finished off 4 x 8 ft dressing room for sale for 12K. pics of it can be seen at...http://www.debknudson.freewebspace.com/photo2.html
A 18 ft awning has recently been added. I also have an air conditioner available for it.
