We spent Memorial weekend at One Horse Gap in the Shawnee Forest of Illinois. We got rained out of riding on Monday, but the weather was absolutely wonderful for our rides on Sat. and Sun.
We did 19 miles on Sat. and horses and riders both were very tired. But it was great!
If you're planning a trip to the Shawnee, I highly recommend OHG campground. Excellent riding, wonderful hosts and great food! The camp and the bath house are clean, clean, clean!!!

Good for your friend to get back up on a horse, bet she had the time of her life after not being on one in 6 years! That view looked like it over looked a golf course, so green and well groomed! Sounds like all had a great time, thanks for sharing the pics!

Good for her is right! She took a BAD fall 6 years ago...ruptured spleen, wrist broken in several places. She was bedridden for a couple months. But after last weekend, she is ready to go again. She is already putting money away for Labor Day weekend! She didn't realize how much she missed it.
Okay Jan...where are your pics? I know you have some! I didn't get many of you and Bill.
