I purschased a new Sundowner and my first trip out the first week, I blew a tire. Instead of the tire blowing off it stayed attached and 6 foot of the rubber marked my trailer up very ugly. How can I remove this safely without removing my paint or contacting the insurance

Congrats on the new trailer, sorry to hear of your tire (had one do something slightly similar) .... are the tire marks on a painted finish, or aluminum, etc? Somebody will really help ya ... I have tire marks on both painted and aluminum surfaces...

I can't help myself here, but what make tire was it? Goodyear, Carlisle, Uniroyal, Towmaster? If it was a new trailer with new tires and it blew out because of a construction flaw or poor build quality... Then I would be looking for some help from the trailer manufacturer or the tire maker!!

Sorry I should have been more clear, it was a used trailer from Sundowner that was 2 years old, not any name brand tire on the trailer. I have been looking it on the lot for a few months sitting there. It still has a 1 year warranty left on Sundowners Hitch to Bumper warranty, but does that include tires? I dont know !! thanks

I can't say for sure about the Sundowner hitch to bumper warranty, but most others don't cover wearables like tires and brakes they are covered by their manufacturer.

"This new warranty includes 3-year, from the date of purchase, hitch-to-bumper coverage on all Sundowner horse, stock, cargo, sport utility, and Living Quarters units with the exception of tires, brakes, "

We did the same thing to our Exiss on the aluminum and the white skin. When it blew up, it hit the window and we were so lucky it didn't bend it. Blown tires are no fun.
I used a tire/rim cleaner from AutoZone (it was in a silver bottle) and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. The eraser got it, but it just takes some elbow grease.
