Yes, life is tough. But please remember what it was like during WWII. There was gas, sugar, and whatever rationing. They didn't complain. Remember the life and liberties that we have thanks to them. I personally feel fortunate that I am able to load up my horses in an aluminum trailer pulled by a big fuel guzzling truck and go where ever I want to, when I want to. My dad, step-dad and uncles all fought, and thankfully didn't die, to give me that freedom!

Can't be said any better than that, I being an ex-Marine feel the same way. It's real easy for us to sit over here and complain about everything, when we have young men in harms way protecting our right to whine.

Sheeeeesh...........somebody must have some Money and not have to worry about increased Hay prices, increased Farrier prices, increased Vet Bills........and so on and so on and so on ...............

No- I just chose not to do stupid and useless thing to deal with it.

The price of everything has increased yet here we are on a computer which we paid for, paying for internet access, chatting about which trailer to buy...what? how can that be? I guess we all have some money. The fact is- we live the in greatest, most proserpous nation the world has ever known yet we are also the biggest whiners. We have so much to eat we get fat, can travel anywhere we want, live longer than any time in history, freedom to do what we want and its still not enough. I chose not to whine about stuff but appreicate everything I have....

A side note: I saw on Yahoo news today that there will be about 8% less corn planted this year, these are the predictions so far, but, planting season isn't in full swing yet,so,this could change.

Less corn will drive up the food and feed prices even further. There will be about 18% more soybean acreage mainly planting in Nebraska, and Iowa, due to higher soybean prices.

And,the higher soybean prices are due to the LESS acreage of them planted last year because: more farmers planted more CORN.

These are the cycles that us farmers live with all the time.
