Hi, Looking for a new trailer. Any thoughts on the Trails West? One for sale here... 12' short wall slide out walk thru mid tack 2006. $35,000 Looks really clean. Just want some opinions before I drive 4 hours to see it. Thanks

They are built in Preston Idaho,  Which is about 90 minute drive from here.

So we see lots of them around.  They are a popular trailer.

I have friends who have owned Trails West bumper pull trailers. But  other than the displays at local horse shows I have not been in their LQ.

They are a steel trailer and people say they are solidly built.

We're happy with our 3H Trailswest. It's not a LQ--just has a side tack and separate GN area. The horse compartment is very user friendly--horses load easily, the dividers telescope so you can leave them open without hitting the door. Rides and pulls smooth and easy to hook up too.

Bought a new TrailsWest GN in 2004. We have had no issues with it. I did the LQ my self and found the unit quite square and well built. Being a welder/mechanic, I have a fare eye for quality construction. I would not hesitate to buy another.

I bough my first one in 2001 a 3 Horse Santa Fe. We liked it so much we bought our second one in 2004 a 3 Horse Sierra, and put in a Week Enders package myself. I would buy another TrailsWest in a heart beat. I live in Wisconsin so I put a real good coat of wax on it in the spring ,and make sure I keep it clean, inside and under and out pull the matts to. I put it away for the year before they start dumping salt on our roads here, and take it back out in the spring when the rains had a chance to wash it all offf the roads. I did  have one minior problem, but they reibursed me with a check for the minior repair cost. Yes I would Buy again.
