I have 7 year old trailer with extruded aluminum sides. The aluminum has become dull and grey. With so many products out there, what is the best for us horse people? I would sure like to be able to get the aluminum looking like new? Also, there are a few decals on the aluminum that I do not want to destroy. I do not have any "truck wash" in my area. Thanks in advance!

If you look under the posting "Just bought a used trailer...." you will find a thread by CRG who has had good results with a product called "Streakmaster". In it she describes how to apply and use it, and the results she has gotten.

Yep,Gard is right.When that guy Greg of Streakmaster first came on here as an advertiser,Dave introduced him,and boy,did he catch a bunch of H--- from some folks about his product.Well,I finally after talking to him a couple of times ordered the Streakmaster Aluminum Wash.I found some of the black streak remover of his at TSC.
He was right about his stuff.It works very well.I'd used the Red Quik Wash by EQ Solutions,too.It can etch glass if it's not used right.I don't get any alumunium acid wash on any of my glass regardless.Be sure you follow the directions that come with it if you order it.I think you'll be pleased.

Strickmaster is only good for cleaning painted aluminum. To clean unpainted extruded Aluminum use ZEP-A-LUME super aluminum cleaner & brightener. Call I can tell you more Gene 877-232-1119 I sell both products

I bought Streak Master's Aluminum Brightner. I only used 1/4 of a gallon (mixed with water) on the entire trailer (20ft Gooseneck painted and extruded Aluminum). This product really worked! Shines like new. The trailer has been sitting out in the weather since cleaning it last fall and it still shines like new.

Gene,I'm sorry,but it is not only good for cleaning painted aluminum.Perhaps you are thinking of the Black Streak Remover by Streakmaster.
They make an aluminum wash/brightener that I have used with sucess on both smooth unpainted aluminum,and extruded aluminum too.

Ditto on the Streakmaster being able to clean unpainted aluminum. I had great results when I used the product. Didn't affect the graphics at all, the RVIA adhesive sticker, or the other stickers on the trailer.
