I have just bought my first truck and horse trailer(see thread about Trailer Floor Repairs!). Now, I need to put in a brake controller. What is the best to buy? I really don't have a clue about these things and the more I look at stuff, the more confused I get. I have been looking at the Draw Tites and Tekonsha Voyager. Waht about some of the other brands? Are they as good? I looked at the Draw Tites, because I am familiar with the brand name and read somewhere that Tekonsha was really good. This is for a 2 horse trailer with no tack room. My truck already has the receiver hitch and wiring with the plug in under the dash for the controller(YES!).

The Prodigy brake control is the way to go. I have had several brake controlers in the past, and nothing even comes close to the way the Prodigy works!! I heard there was a new Brake controller out by tekonsha. I have been using the Prodigy for a few years now and really like it, and does a bang up of a job for me. My question is, would there be any advantage to up grade to the P3, and would it do any better of a job than the Prodigy is doing? Thank you and have a Merry Christmas
