We have a 03 1/2 ton, v8 Chevy Avalanche with a tow package. I'm looking at used trailers and came across a nice Adam Ju-Lite 2-horse trailer. It has a dressing room which is a feature I'm hoping to get since our truck bed is so short. Can our truck pull this trailer safely?

I asked the owner but she doesn't know how much it weights.

Welcome ... This question is hard to answer since you don't post enough info on the trailer or your Av

I see no issues with it pulling this size trailer.  I think it would do good.

Hi,

The dry weight of a standard Adam Ju-lite 710A-DR is going to be around 3,200 lbs if it has a V-nose, saddle rack, and spare tire. Most 710A's will be set up that way. You will be fine pulling this trailer.

The trailer has two 3500lb axles. which indicates that it's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) is 7,000 lbs. Your truck is rated to pull either 7900 or 8200 lbs. You will likely never load the trailer to 7,000 lbs. But, even if you did, the truck is rated heavy enough to handle it. With strength to spare.

I'm not usually a fan of towing with a 1/2 T truck. But, in this case, I certainly feel you'll be fine. The newer 1/2 T trucks are much stronger that the older 1/2 ton trucks.
