Hey all,
Recently on another forum someone posted about a "2 + 1" trailer by Keifer Built. It's a box stall in the front, then the back half is either another box stall or it also has a removable divider that creates to straight load slots in the back. I don't know anyone who has a Kiefer Built trailer so I'm worried about their quality. I've seen another similar model by 4-Star, which I love, but the nearest dealership to me is almost 800 miles away. Does anyone else make a trailer like this? Sundowner perhaps???

A number of companies do custom orders. Call and get a quote. Stidham does quality custom work in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Think twice about letting distance stop you from considering getting what you want. A trailer is a big investment, and usually a long term one. 800 miles is one hard day's drive (or 2 easy days drive!). I ordered my last 2 trailers sight unseen, and drove from the East coast to pick them up. Quality leaves no regrets! Just my 2 cents!

Hawk, Trailet and I think Elite make a nifty 2+1. Though perhaps the price isn't as nifty. I see it listed at $22000 a lot, though have seen it lower, especially as we get closer to winter.
Here's the plans from the Hawk site. Has the kind of dividers that it can be made into two box stalls as well. Not in my current budget, but I can dream can't I?

Turnbow makes an awesome 2+1. They call it their mare/foal floor plan on their website. I spec'ed one out last November at QH World. When I get rich...

I'm in CA, I've never seen a C&C trailer before. Are they more on the East coast? I only want something on the West coast as I wouldn't feel comfortable buying one without seeing it in person. Is it possible to get one with a small LQ or even a weekender package?

Thanks for the info. The price isn't really an issue but having a slant load in the front is really bizzare. I'm looking more for something with a box stall in front of the two straigt loads.

Hi there, I saw that one when I did a Google search. They call it a 2 +1 but the front stall is more of a storage area, not a true box stall. I bought my Trails West (which I absolutely LOVE) from a dealership that also sells Sundowner. Now that I know Sundowner makes something like what I'm wanting I may just drive down there. That way I could trade in my Trails West too. I absolutely love the TW but a 2 + 1 trailer would suit my needs better now that I have show horses and broodmares with foals.

I have a Hawk that I ordered with the box in front rather than the slant stall. I had them turn the dressing wall straight and added a few feet. Also had the doors put in to seperate the box from the straight load horses. The box doubles as a mid-tack when only hauling two. I ordered mine through www.bickfordford.com and am very happy with the trailer.

There is an Adams aluminum GN 2+1 listed on this site under #114775. I have personally looked at this trailer and everything will break down to make 2 box stalls.
