From time to time I see posts on this site about re-locating to areas where there is good riding and camping/riding near by. I wanted to give a shout-out to anyone looking to get away from the cold and snow and be able to ride year round. Look at the middle of the State of GA. It's awesome here. Almost never snows so cold is not an issue year round. Also, we are above what's known as the 'gnat line' so the bugs are not bad on the horses and livestock in this area. I can ride year round right off my own property. Also, north FLA and the mountains of north GA and the Carolinas are both less than a 4 hour drive when I want to camp and ridel It's really a wonderful place to settle if you enjoy riding year round. I recently got my real estate license and have a few horse farms/properties available in all price ranges. I'm with Century 21 Adams-Harvey in Thomaston, GA. 706/975-6643. Let me know if I can answer any riding and/or property questions for you and come settle in one of the best riding areas in the country.
