The equispirit has a slanted bulkhead wall between the DR and the horse space. The sundowner does not.

Depends on what you're trying to do.  If you're going to use the 2 box stalls then the straight wall is better.  If you're planning on consistently hauling 3 then the slant might be better depending on the size of the horse.  If you're just going to use the front area for 4-wheeler and stuff then the straight is better.  usually, with the slant you must load the front horse first-no independant loading/unloading as with the straight wall since the ramp is usually then on the street side instead of the curb side.    We've done them both ways, just depends on the customer's requirements.

We would use it mostly as 2 box stalls or 2 horse straight load that could both unload from the front. But we will also be taking 3 horses at times to shows. We want a trailer that will let one person unload each horse separately without taking a 2nd out. With the Equispirit design is it possible to leave 2 horses in the straight stall and unload and then reload the front horse from the side ramp?Which design is safer and/or more comfortable for a 3rd horse? With the Sundowner design is the front box stall more comfortable than with the slant design?

Most manufacturers will build with either the slant wall and a stall divider (plus a box stall divider if desired), or a straight wall and a box stall divider.  Hawk built the Equispirit, and they have built them both ways for our customers.
