I need some idea of what to ask for this thing! It's a whopper - thirteen feet long by six feet wide, all aluminum 1 inch square tubing on 1x2 inch aluminum rails. Rails are spaced 57 inches on center and run full length of the rack. Ladder comes with, also aluminum square tube and it's six feet long.
I just took it off my five horse Trail-et, as I can't get up and down the ladder easily any longer, and I am tired of having to dodge trees coming in my driveway.I see that Equispirit offers a twelve footer as an option

I looked at ebay, I looked at craigslist - all I find is cheesy little clamp-on things for volvo stationwagons, and a couple of really ugly steel utility racks for like plumbers' vans.Am kind of hoping somebody can sue this thing, it would b a shame to cut it up for scrap!

Well, I suppose you could contact trailer dealerships and price what a hay rack like you have would cost and then drop the price somewhat because of it being used.

In 1998, I bought a used aluminum 6 ft hayrack & ladder that came off a Trailet for $200. They charged me another $100 to install it on the roof of my trailer. I would say that $500 would be a fair price for it. You have to remember that the option price includes a NEW rack installed on a NEW trailer. Ebay would be a great place to sell it.

LOL, drive on up here and buy a yearling from us, and I'll put the dang thing on your trailer and send it back with you por nada!
that is a good idea on the dealerships, though.... we have a BIG one near us, maybe they could use it to put on one of their used rigs. Asking is cheap.

At least, tell a couple dealerships you have it for sale. Then, if somebody comes in to one of those dealerships looking for a good deal on a hay rack, the dealer can give them your number.
