A friend of mine gave me a camera system intended for use in helping folks back up large vehicles, etc. She had been using it in her horse trailer for awhile, but had since gotten an upgraded system.
The unit has sound and video from the camera that is in the horse trailer. It has a 4-prong wire that runs from the connector on the camera to the display in the truck.
I would like to upgrade the unit with a proper camera intended for use in a horse trailer. Can anyone suggest a good camera, that has sound, with the proper 4-prong connection?
Reason I want to replace the existing camera is because I eventually want to replace the whole system and want a good camera already in place if/when I upgrade displays.
Additionally, I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 with the navigation system and associated display, and understand it may possibly support a camera connection. Can anyone verify this?

Does the camera have a name on it? If you can find it's manufacturer on the web I'll bet they have better cameras that will plug into the same system and they can probably tell you if you can hook it up to your navigation system.
