Has anyone heard of Trailer King trailers? I found an old one from the late 50s in wonderful condition. It's been stored in a barn all it's life. It has a ramp and an escape door over the tongue. It's a two horse straight load. I think it's adorable in a sort of retro way. It has surge brakes. It is 7 feet tall inside, which is odd for an old trailer. The owner wants $1200.00 for it. The only rust I can find is on the undercarrage and around the wheels but all of it seems to be just surface rust. I already have a trailer I like. For some reason I just want to fix this little trailer up. I think it could be a gem. should I worry about metal fatigue?

I did a quick search on Yahoo and didn't come up with anything on that brand name... maybe it's one of many long forgotten brands. I share your appreciation of the "vintage" horse trailers - they had a real classy look. If you ever had a chance, it would be great to see pictures of it.
