Hi, just used my Logan Wrangler 2 horse slant for the 1st time today.  I pulled the mats and noticed the wood floor was lightly painted and want to paint it with paint that is easy to clean and weatherproofs it. I tried to search but only found rhino lining type stuff. I'm tapped out on cash and was hoping I could use use a exterior paint that would clean up easy when I removed the mats. Right now using it once the floor is stained already. I was thinking about maybe something high gloss that would clean up easy. Any help would be great!

When I worked at a hazardous waste disposal facility and we wanted something to use as a protective coating on the concrete floors that would clean up easily we tested several types of commercial coatings, none of which seemed to hold up. The best? WalMart porch paint! Seems like it could work for you.

Be careful with considering anything that might make the surface slippery.
I've seen rubber mats (underneath a horse) skid on a slick floor when loading, though I don't know what the underlying floor was - I do know that it wasn't my horse.

A good epoxy paint should work and if you worry about slippage you cad add some sand, they sell it in hardware stores to add to paint.
