Hey everyone Sorry that I havent posted in a while, but it seems that time just gets away so quickly, but I have been trying to keep up with any new post. I just love this site!!!! Anyway I have a question for everyone. I bought a used horsetrailer and the pads on the dividers are torn and I am looking for some where that will sell them. If anyone has any suggestions I sure would appreciate any help

Valley Vet sells them, but I'm in Canada, once the shipping got added in it was astronomical - so I took some scrap plywood, hacked up a foam mattress pad from Wal-mart, and bought some vinyl from the Fabric store. Then went to town with a Staple Gun. They turned out rather nice, and cost me about $20 for four. But if you're not a DIY-er, try www.valleyvet.com

Try http://www.horsetraileraccessorystore.com/ they have some and are nice folks to deal with, they are out of the N. West, Oregon if I remember correctly, I've used them before and had no problem gettin' things to N. Indiana.

Yeah, I'm clueless with tools, but even I could do it so...haha.
They turned out really well. My husband screwed them on with screws and washers, and they look spiffy.
The pads themselves were fairly cheap but add in the shipping, and they are pretty bulky. I winged it. I wish I had pictures to show you! I will...next week ;)

I just love a woman that takes things into their own hands and doesnt worry about waiting on their husband to do it. If I waited for my husband nonething would ever get done when it comes to things like that. He is in a profession that doesnt get your hands dirty and he wouldnt know where to begin. Got to love him, he does try, but I usually end up finishing myself. It's just hard when you arent used to doing that sorta thing yourself I guess. Pictures would be great. I glad that you are happy with them. What size did you make them?

Sorry I'm slow to reply :) If I waited for my husband to do them, HA, I'd be an old woman :) My goal is to be self-sufficient. I don't have pics yet but will be taking them this weekend. I'll post them when I do. Let's see...I THINK they were about 4 feet long, that's a guess (I did measure but I can't remember) and I made the ones on the inside partition a little shorter. The hardest part was cutting the plywood to size. I was going to do it myself, until I discovered that if you go to Home Depot and bat your eyes and plead ignorance they will cut them for free. OK, possibly not a great leap for women's liberation, but I got my plywood.

Sorry I havent replied all weekend we went on our anual get a way for the weekend this weekend it was good just to do nonething. I about fell out when Terri said that her husband gets scared when she goes to the hardware store alone. I had to show my husband. He even had a smile on his face. Probley because he knows the feeling. HA HA HA. Slsharratt I am also a lot like you I figure if I start a project and get it right then I have probley sayed at least 1/2 of what I would have had to pay, and if I start something and screw it up so bad I cant get it done to suit me then I have probley saved enough money through the years on other projects that every once in a while I can pay to have something done by someone else. Terri I am still silently laughing over your post!!!
