We are considering ordering a Newerspreader as advertised on RFDtv. Was wondering if anyone owns one and how easy are they to assemble? We want it for the small barn (4-6 stalls), need something that is easy to maneuver and under $1000.00
Would love feedback on this item and others similar to it. The $1000 or less includes shipping.
I need something that can be pulled by a 27 hp Cub Cadet Garden Tractor.

I bought one almost 2 years ago and just love it. I bought it directly from the manufacturer off their website so it was a little cheaper by cutting out the middle man (sorry all you middle men out there) I have a John Deere cub that we pull it with but if I had an ATV I would use that. They say you can even pull it with a lawn tractor. Don't have one of those either. The one thing I learned that you don't do with it is load it up and leave it to empty later. The stuff packs down a bit and the ground driven thingy won't chop it up. You can buy an agitator which would solve that but we find that it works great as long as we pull it right away. I highly recommend it for a small operation. By the way, I assembled it myself in a matter of a couple hours and as evidenced by the technical term "thingy" I am not very mechanically inclined. I shoped them and looked and studied. Finally decided not worth the money.Clogs, won't pass old hay etc. I bought a http://www.loyal-roth.com/ I called and talked to owners, manasgers etc. This company had one of the best prices and almost 0 warranty issues. Can let it sit several days until full and pull it with a 22h.p.Sears Garden tractor. Its listed at $1700 but paid $1200 at Tractor Supply.

I checked with Tractor Supply and they do not carry that spreader. Any other stores that may? I don't want to have to pay the shipping on it. To Michigan it would be exhorbitant!

The one here in Commerce Ga.did and Loyal had a contract with Tractor Supply.Call Loyal and talk to the owner,I did! I called a number of manufactures, picked their brains and also got opinions on the competion. What started it with me is I first bought a Fugeut(spelling) and it was POORLY made after I got to looking at it.I returned it and started shopping smart.Spent a hour plus a day for a few days calling and pricing plus comparing. Some it was like pulling teeth for info, others had good information and where willing.

When I bought mine 2 years ago, it cost $545 plus $60 for shipping directly from the manufacturer. A friend of mine said she looked recently and it was up to about $700 including shipping. Margaret

I purchased an Estate" Mighty" Spreader 25 bushel manure spreader Model 600 from country manufacturing about 5 years ago. I pull it with a 18hp lawn tractor. Any 10hp or larger can pull it. It is only 6ft long 2 1/2 ft wide. So far I have been really happy with it. The only down fall it has like most of the mini type spreaders is that it doesn't handle hay and straw well. But over all it's a good spreader.

Forgot to mention that I have also used my spreader to put HAY out.I put a bale of hay in it,cut he strings off and go across the pasture with it.It leaves a nice trail of hay behind it.Did this many times this winter to feed 8 head.Lots easier then throwing flakes of hay and no arguments with horses chasing one another from leaf to leaf etc.

I have a newspreader. I got the optional agitator as a Christmas gift! It makes all the difference. I just keep driving and no matter how compacted and old the manure (hey... it happens) or if there is old hay, it eventually takes care of it. It is very easy to handle. If your pulling rig breaks you can pull it yourself. It can sit out and not be bothered by the weather. I put marine sealant on the wood to protect it. I ad some grass seed to the manure and it makes for a better yard and pasture. I do think that the type of bedding you use matters. I use pelleted bedding or fine hardwood shavings. I don't think it would work well for straw bedding.

I think I'd like to have one, but my hubby thought with the rocks we have, it would be useless. Believe me, we have rocks. With dirt floors in the barn, he may be right. Each spring, there is a new crop of rocks!

Always finding NEW uses for my LOYAL spreader. As well as putting square bales out with it last weekend we hauled bedding plants and transplants all around our place.Today I bought 50 bags of shavings and loaded 15 at at time stacked and in our spreader from horse trailer to the barn. Can't to that with a NewerSpreader.
