I "ran through" one of those big truck acid wash places - but my 4-Star trailer did not get "shiny" - most of the alum. trim kinda "whited" out - got rid of the black streaks, etc - but not shiny - we've tried every product on the market and plain old elbow juice to polish it - even bought a buffing wheel - it looks very good - but not like the day it rolled out of the factory - we just sold this trailer and now our next one is entirely white skin except for stainless nose. Maybe it will be easier to keep clean.

Yes--I go to the big rig stops once a year. Maybe the aluminum is different (quality)? on the different brands? My Exiss(which I no longer own) cleaned up great.I bought an all white smooth skin trailer this next time around.

If you have any polished alum. on the trailer the acid wash will remove it and the alum. will dull. So be careful! You might want to use an alum polish.

I take mine to a Blue Beacon (truck wash) for an acid wash and wax. They do a great job!
Another vote for Blue Beacon. I stopped at the Blue Beacon in Ennis, TX a couple of weeks ago and got a trailer & truck washed for $50.00. Both look great. Someone at the show even asked me if my trailer was new.
If anyone knows of a truck wash near McKinney, TX, could you let me know? The closest one I know of is about 60 miles from me. The one in Anna has closed.
