One of my neighbors horses is Duke, and he is one of the smartest in the neighborhood. Also, how old is the horse? You may want to consider not changing its name. I once read online or in a book somewhere that changing a horse's name is one of the top 10 things you should NOT do. We got a 12 year old mare named Morgan (because she is a Morgan), and my daughter wanted to changed her name. I told her we could change her name if I could start calling her Betty (her name Grace). She thought about it for about two seconds and decided she could live with the name Morgan. (No offense to any Betty's out there, any different name could be used as an example.)

Please tell me this is not the 5 year old horse you were looking at!

Keep the name.

Please learn to spell.  As a teacher your typing skills scare me more than your threats.

I have to say you might need to keep your temper under control around your new horse.  Don't pound things out of his head, a happy horse it will not make.  Poor Duke.

Psst! I'm a teacher and although atrocious spelling does make me cringe, alas your threat does not.

Control yourself and your words and you will be much better recieved.  Threats are not tolerated on this board . . . and in case you didn't realize it, you just issued another person a threat of verbal abuse and physical violence.  Where are you learing this behavior?

Its true, there are horses that are mature for a younger age but generally, the younger the horse, the greener they are. Its makes sense, a younger horse just doesn't have the life experience an older horse has. They are physically and mentally not as mature as a 10 yr old might be. Much like people, younger horses need a rider/handler than can teach them what they don't know.

As far as your spelling, just slow down,re-read what you have typed in. If it doesn't look right, its probably not. You'll find, down the road, its very important to express yourself well.

Oh my goodness. What is frightening to me is that Jesse would address a complete stranger in this fashion.
