Does anyone know about what it costs to do this?

If for instance I had a one speed jack and wanted to put an electric jack on it. Do I have to change the entire thing to a two speed in order for the electric one to work or should I go with a hydraulic? I know the hydraulic is more money but, if I had to replace the entire jacking mechanism it might be a better option.....

 Any ideas are greatly appreciated

I believe that Equalizer makes an electric jack for a one speed.   I think it is called the El Pac 1.   Check out their website for more details and to find a local dealer.  We have one on our two speed jack and like it.

If your handy with a tool or two you can buy Power Gear Slide Out Motors on Ebay($50-$75) they have the gear reduction box on them they make great electric jacks. I have put several of them on. I have one on my 4 Star with a remote button no more getting in and out of the truck to see if the ball is underneath just lower it down with the remote and see. I'm kind of a gadget kind of guy.

After a couple of private inquires here is a picture of the jack I just put on my 4 Star, I haven't yet covered the wiring because I'm not finished yet(still doing the LQ inside). It is a two speed jack but to make it work good the jack is in the high(hard to crank) position. The black box in the picture is the remote control, it is a remote control for an ATV winch bought on e-bay for $29.00 it comes with a weather proof manual switch and a keyflob remote for up and down(in and out on the winch). Anywho the whole set-up cost me Just under $110. I'll gladly put them together for who ever wants one for lets say $350.00 thats $150.00 less than Equalizer.
