I'm considering a 1981 2h Miley gooseneck, but I have never pulled one and will have to get a hitch installed in my 86 F-150.  Is it easier to hitch up?  Is it easier to manuver?  Since this trailer is older, will I have trouble finding the right hitch? I thought it might be a fun restoration project.  Is there anything I should look out for?

GN IS easier to hitch because the hitch is right behind the driver, you should be able to look at it.  Easy to maneuver too.

I'm sure B&W makes a hitch for your truck. Check >>  http://turnoverball.com/

You should watch out  about the hitch weight on your truck.  An old GN could be too heavy for your 1/2 ton truck's payload.  Beware the neck-over height too.

MIley's in that age range were VERY narrow.  Will your horses be comfortable in those size stalls?

A trailer that old may not have an adjustable tongue, be sure your truck will get underneath it.

thanks!  I think I'll stick with the bumper pull configuration that I know for now and pass on this Miley.
