I'm restoring (?) my son's Big Valley, (sandblasting and painting), not a bad trailer it gets the job done.  I know they are out of business but does anyone know where they placed the serial number for their trailers?  I have found on the trailer a couple of labels but not SN. Thanks in advance.

They can be stamped on in many places including the axles, the main frame, and/or the gooseneck or A-frame depending on what type of trailer. Some do not have a serial number, but if you take it to the DMV or check with a state trooper, they can often find a serial number, or else issue a new one if one can't be found.

We just purchased a used Big Valley to haul the horses around on local runs to the farrier and vet.  We have the same problem finding any serial number on our trailer as well.  This trailer was a 96 model that was purchased by an older gentleman, used a couple of times and stored in a shed.  It was too good of a deal to pass.  However, we are puzzled about where to get an identification number on it.  Ours has nothing.

My first gooseneck was a Big Valley & I am trying to remember where it was.....sticks in my mind it either was just under the gooseneck, on that angle iron brace (stamped into the steel) or there was a metal plate on the side by the crank.  (both on driver's side).  I'll email my friend who still has hers & see where hers is & get back w/you.  Is yours a goose or bp?
