Has anyone rode the trails next to the Bar50 Ranch in Ouachita Mnts.? If so,does the horse need to be shod with pads? I heard the trails were rocky.I rode in 2003 in Ozarks Mnts. out from Lonesome D.We didn't have pads on horses, was rocky terrain in some places.Don't know if terrain is as rough.Any info would be helpful. Thanks,Brian.

We have been to the Bar 50 nine times during the past 4 years. It's our favorite place to ride. Trails are no more rockier than at Lonesome D. Overall, they are probably less rocky, but I would recommend shoes. Several of the trails there have very few rocks. The two trails going in/out of the Bar 50 probably are the rockiest.

What are the trails like down there? We have some friends that want to ride at the bar 50 this year. I don't mind rocks, because we are from mo total rock country. Debbie
