I am looking at a CM Endurance 2 horse BP and a Trails West Adventure MXII. Has anyone had any problems with the walk through gates on the CM as far as horse injury. And is a horse's shoulder cramped with the angled manger design. The other concern I have is the inabilty for the horse to see out. Would like to hear any likes and dislikes for either trailer. I like the slant load feature of the Trails West since this is what I have always had, but it is several thousand dollars more. I am looking at these two trailers since my Elite LQ is to long to take on day rides, to the vet etc. So this trailer will not be used as the main hauling unit over long distances. But I want to make sure the horses are comfortable and safe. My horses are not large from 900-1100 pounds and the tallest at 15 hands.

Hi.......I have an Endurance for sale. Here's what I didn't like and what I did about it. The jack was not heavy enough so I replaced it with a real good one. The interior doors rattled like crazy so put rubber silencers on the latches which solved the problem. As others have said sometimes the tack room door leaks - I had that resealed and put additional casing around it which solved the problem.
Having taken care of those issues, it is a slick design - horses load easily into it especially with the tack room door open so they can see out. And young ones will follow you in usually without a problem. Easy to step aside and go into tack room.
Plenty of room - my gelding 1000 lbs - 15.3 fits fine, same for my quarter horse at 1150 lbs and same height.
I've only 300 miles on the trailer - increased herd size and got a stock trailer. The Endurance is in brand new condition - white - asking $4900 if you're interested.......rae

I was looking at the CM Dakota because it is a 2 horse slant load which seems preferable to me than the CM Endurance which is straight load, especially if you are hauling for any distance. Do you see it differently?

I had a Dakota 3 horse slant and didn't care for it really. It was noisy and didn't haul really well, not smooth anyway. It was almost a blessing when it got stolen! LOL
I don't know if the 2horse are any better. Mine was a 2000.

I had a Trails West Avenger (in 2001 it was called avenger, not adventure...but it's the same trailer) 3 horse and was very happy with it. I only sold it becuase I wanted gooseneck instead. I haul a LOT of different horses (all shapes/sizes) and they all fit fine in that trailer. If I hauled a huge warmblood sized horse, I'd just pull a divider and let the horse have 2 stall spaces. If I pulled all the dividers, I was able to haul 4 average sized horses. I really liked the "options" it had.
