Hi, I am looking to buy a first trailer, and am considering several brands. We do not have a lot of TITANS in our area, so I don't know a lot about them. Any opinions?

Something else I just noticed on one of the trailers (it's a 2H Slant with no rear tack and slat window on the butt side - Avalanche model) is that there is about a 2" gap between the bottom of the door and the floor mats.......in other words, the door doesn't seal. They just had their trailer cleaned and opened the door to show me and there were leaves all over in the horse area. We couldn't figure out how the heck they got in there until I saw the gap. Maybe that's the design of that particular trailer but I think we were all a little shocked to discover it.

You get what you pay for, and Titan is a fine trailer for the price. I owned one in 1997 and it was a great trailer for what it was, a way to haul the horses. It was in no way "unsafe", just not as many bells and whistles.

I got a titan renegrade and I love it. I am looking at getting a different trailer cause i need one big enough to haul my carriage and a horse in. My 3 horse doesnt allow me to do that.
pic of mine can be seen in thread down below where it says what is one willing to pay for this trailer.
The space between the door and floor is to allow urine to drain out. I havent had any problems with having it on my trailer. I am sure if you want it to go all the way to the floor that you can request it that way. I also know of someone that stuck some rubber in that area.

Titan is an excellent trailer! So far we have had 4 different Titans and they are all very durable, easy pulling, and heavy built. I would definately suggest a Titan trailer for anyone, especially for anyone looking to save $5K less than an aluminum trailer....

We had a 2000 Titan Renegade with 6 foot short wall, three horse. The only problem was a small leak in the nose that was easily corrected with caulking. The nose of the Titans are fiberglass. We just sold the trailer last year and it had no rust of any kind. This was primarly due to frequent washings, going slow on gravel roads to reduce pitting and always cleaning out the trailer after every use. We paid $11,000 for it in 2000 and sold it for $9500 in 2004. Not bad for 4 years of use.The only thing that was added was A/C and a small fridge. We only sold it because we wanted larger finished living quarters. The ony thng I didn't like about the Titan was the stall divider latches. They are hard to open and the pull-out divider liked to stick. Although, I must admit after having an Aluminum trailer for a year (Elite), I will likely stay with Aluminum over steel. I just like the easy care of the Elite and a very quite and smooth ride. I don't think you'll be disappointed in the Titan if you are looking for a steel trailer.
