I am looking at a friend of mine's trailer to replace my Sooner 3H GN. I havent really shopped around but this one is just what I need. It is a '98 4Star 2h slant BP. Pretty much just the basic package w/ the rear folding tack and front dressing room. It has not had the tires hauled off of it. Come to think of it, it has probably been hauled less than 30 times since they bought it new. Everything is good on it, tires in really good shape, kept under cover, etc.

The problem I am having with it is I know they paid $7000 for it new back in '98 and now are asking $7500 for it. I know the price of everything has increased drastically so I wanted to know if y'all thought this was a fair asking market price???

Thanks !!!!!!

Just a thought....the tires are pushing 8 years old...many schools of thought on life of a tire....Just a thought....It still sounds like a good deal!

If the trailer is new and in good shape, $7,500 is an extremely fair price. Someone I knew wanted to sell me a 98 Sundowner 2H Slant GN with rear tack and front DR (also in good shape) for $10,500.

Trailers don't devalue very much if they are kept clean and had regular maintenance and a new one like that runs around $14,000.

I paid $8600 of a 1998 4 star about 3 years ago. I have been thrilled every since and would not sell it for $8600.

$7500 is a steal.

GNs always are higher in price than BPs but even that price seems too high!  I bought a 2H BP slant, butt drops too, 4-star that was new but actually2 yrs old for 10k.  It was on a dealer's lot and came with the full new warranty.
