In looking for common ground, I would suppose that most would agree that:

1) Both will move one horse from point A to point B.  2) Generally without a one-ton, dually, crew cab 4x4.  3) And, if a one-horse trailer were your cup of tea it would not be necessary to purchase it in the goose-neck model with finished LQs and a slide out.

In reality, it is most likely a preference for the Euro sports looks vs the stodgy.

Jay, the Hawk one horse trailer does look interesting, but to quote you in the "one horse" post, "we gotem if you need them call Dave" it's sounds like you are promoting trailers you sell intead of asking for a comparison. This comes in the catergory of advertising and as a monitor I'm suppose to watch this. I don't always catch these and have been more careful on not promoting my products in the forum. I still do reference articles I've written pertaining to subject matter. Any other questions on promoting in the forum can be addressed to Dave@HorseTrailerWorld.com

I much prefer the look of the one horse brenderup to the one horse hawk.  The brenderup stalls are much wider and the trailer as a whole looks bigger.  The hawk looks like a tube and the ramp is so narrow looking I would be scared unloading.

Jay, if you have a press release on a new product, I'm sure Dave would be glad to post that on the home page outside the forum. We are very interested in news. Just email your press release to Dave@HorseTrailerWorld.com

I'm surprised this thread didn't get deleted.

"Benderup vs. Hawk 1 horse let the games begin "???

What's the deal? Have we not heard enough about Brenderups? Why the bashing?

Moving on..........how about those Lions?

Jay,

When you started this discussion about the trailer, it was as though you were just one of the ordinary folks checking out trailers.  It appears to me from your posts that you are a dealer.  Just by the way you have handled this and also felt the need to bash Brenderups, I wouldn't buy one.  Personally, I have a Brenderup in no way can see what could be better about your trailer.    Good luck with your sales though.   I'm sure there are people out there that will buy them, just like there are people that will buy a Brenderup.

Seems to me that the one horse bumper pull is way more money than value.  I have pulled a bunch of bumper pulls and the gooseneck stock trailer I now have pulls much better and is easier to hook up.  The horses really don't mind all the space and I have the option of trailering several.  Really cannot imagine ever wanting a one horse trailer.

I would have to agree with Mr. Truck. You must be a dealer because you didn't ask anything. You stated facts. You want facts? here you go. Brenderup has different models in one horse trailers. All of them have an interior width of 51" with a total width of 7'1 on the Barons and 6 on the Solo. You can walk in front of your horse too with one or two escape doors. Now, did you want a one horse with a dressing/tack area? did you need it big enough for that warmblood, or Percheron? The room in front of the chest bar can be 40" or up to 65". The height is always 7'4 so not an issue for height. Did you want SPC walls or Wisacone walls? Did you want the trailer to weigh 1300 or can you take 1700 pounds? The 1300 is the one without tack or dressing room and has 40 open space in front of the chest bar. the 1700 is the one with both and also SPC walls. the tongue weight is 100 pound on the Solo and about 150 with the tack and dressing room. The fiberglass roof and walls keep heat out. At anytime you can always, always touch these walls. Even on the hottest of days. Now talk about your Hawk. Let the games begin is right. I'm not afraid to own up to being a Brenderup dealer and I am sure proud of it too. If some of you feel this is too harsh, then I apologize, but I have heard enough of bashing on these trailers. what have they ever done to deserve this? People who own them, love them. People who don't know them criticize them and they should just ask questions to PEOPLE who do own them first. I am more than happy to answer them or refer them to someone who can answer them. I stayed off of this forum for a very long time because of this and it still continues, why? Just ask the questions to the dealers or the manufacturer. Please don't talk behind our backs, that isn't very nice. We don't do that or at least I don't. As you can see I am very much up front and that is how I run my business too. Okay, I'm off my soap box. Now what about those Green Bay Packers? I guess they will get first draft pick, HUH? WE NEED IT.
