I am in the market for a new trailer, and was wondering if you could recommend a few brands and/or models. I live on Seattle's east side, so a dealership recommendation would be appreciated too! Here's what I want:
New trailer from dealership. Bumper Pull, 3 or 4 horse w/ tack room. Drop windows on at least driver side. Our budget is $10k, but we could go over that if we really like the trailer.
Our tow vehicle is an '01 Dodge Ram 2500, 4x4 Quad Cab long bed diesel. Thanks!

Huge question here.... are you looking to buy an all aluminum, steel/aluminum combo or steel trailer?
With a budget of 10k for a new trailer, all aluminum could be difficult. You can check on this website under the trailer search for trailers in your area to give you an idea of brands available. Circle J, Trails West and Logan Coach look to be popular out your way and all seem to be very good trailers.

A 3H or 4H new trailer with tack room for $10,000 will be a challenge. You may need to consider a Stock / Combo trailer to get something decent for that price.

much more stable, huh? why not a GN? how many reason do you want? size, weight, more $$$.....both GN and BP have their place. but come on, more stable? only in the hands of someone who didnt bother to set up the BP properly. saftey first, whatever you decide to pull, or pull with.

How can you say that it is "BS" when most people that have towed with both still prefer towing a GN because it IS more stable. Sure BPs serve a purpose but GNs tow better.

If possible I would stay away from a steel trailer given your location. Aluminum trailers definalty hold their value. We just bought a 4 Star (4 horse GN) which has worked out great (had a 94 steel sundowner). Best feature 7'6" ceiling and extra long, horses load easier, have more room and appear fresher after a trip.

so youre operating on the theory "most people" are right? what was the saying about jumping off a bridge?
i guess we run in different circles, i wouldnt say "most people" to start with, and besides "most people" dont have a clue they should be using a WDH, let alone how to properly set one up. most of the trail rides i go to its about 1/2 and 1/2, BP and GN, and i dont remember ever seeing another WDH, not even on the ranger that shows up every so often. i also have no doubt "most people" used to improperly pulling a BP, that switch to a GN would deem a BP unstable, never knowing what a properly hitched BP tows like.
what is "tow better"? i really never have understood this whole "the trailer pulls great" concept/statement. great compared to what? either they pull right or they dont, and if they dont get it fixed. and no, a trailer with a tongue weight of 500 pounds+ is not going to "pull great" behing anything without a WDH. why would we expect it to? safety, safety, safety.........
apparently your definition of "stable" and mine are FAR different.

Well, the people I know show horses and haul horse for a living. They all know how to properly use a WDH and they know what a trailer should pull like. Not one of them would prefer to tow a BP over a GN. I know because we have talked about it. I said "most" in my post to accomodate people like you who diasagree. Again, having towed with both configurations, I stand by my post.
