Shopping for my first trailer - thought this Adam (ad text below) looked good - will tow with Chevrolet Suburban K1500 4WD Vortec 5300 V8 4-spd automatic  with tow-haul mode w/optional tow package wich includes the trailering hitch platform, 7-lead wiring connector, and the 3.73 rear axle ratio.  I'd be hauling my 4 kids, the tack, and two horses (14.2-15.2 hh, 1,000-1,200 lbs) - will I be undertrucked or undertrailered?  Is Adam a good bet?  THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY/ALL COMMENTS!

"This trailer has a steel main frame with all aluminum skin, roof and interior. The floor is rubber composite and is easy cleaning with standard water hose. This floor is very shock absorbing. The interior features extra thick padding on the divider, breast area, sides and even on the butt bar. The divider is removable. The front lockable escape door opens to the outside. 2 drop down feed windows, harness hooks, poly lined walls for easy cleaning, two roof vents above mangers, two large bus side windows with bars and screens, two rear door windows, one handed rear door operating latch, two large lockable side compartments with built in saddle rack and tack hooks, spare tire, dome light,2 outside horse ties,215-15 4 ply radial tires, full fenders, break away kit."

wanted to add - looking at around $4,100 plus tax - is this a good deal?  Don't want to 'mess this up'.  Thanks again for your input (in advance...)

external tranny cooler in addition to the one added with the tow package?  equalizer's a good idea - also looking at a Bee, now, 2h slant w/rear tack and dressing room up front...it's a 2001, but looks still new...

im guessing you dont drive a newish model chevy?  like i said, maybe, chevy has a bad habit of thinking their smaller trucks wont benifit from an external cooler on their "tow package".  and be sure not to confuse the power steering cooler with an external tranny cooler, ive bet many a six pack on that one..........drank for free every time.

my trailblazer w/tow pack.... no ext cooler, dads z71 w/tow pack.... no ext cooler,  neighbours tahoe w/tow pack....no ext cooler the list goes on and on............getting thirsty just thinking about it.

Thanks for the heads-up - the window sticker lists the following:

2004 Suburban 1500 4WD Vortec 5300 V8 4spd Automatic trailering equipment includes:  trailering hitch platform, 7-lead wiring connector, transmission oil cooler, 7,200 lb VW rating rear axle - 3.73 ratio

So, I guess I need to get that extra cooler, too.  Knew about the brake controller - have one, just need to install it.  Thanks again.

I have just bought an Adam.. mine is the Ju-Lite.  A 2 horse bumper pull with dressing room.  I think I got a really good deal for the money.  They are not the "top of the line" but they seem to fit the bill pretty well.  I'm pulling with a ford expedition (2003) with a 5.4L engine, the big tow package (8500 lbs), class 4 hitch, prodigy brake controller etc.  We took my young horse for his first ride today.  (I have been driving it a couple of times , and been practicing backing up).  I'm pretty happy so far.  Getting the weight distribution was a bit more painful than I expected though.  Apparently there is not a long enough area between the v that is the front of the trailer and the hitch for the normal attachment so I had to get some special parts and have it done pretty custom.  That was not cool, but I made it and now I feel pretty safe about it.

there is more than one "big name" trailer manuf. that needs a boot dead square in their ass, in reference to this damn useless 30 inch tongue nonsense.  they need to be 36 inches to use a "standard" WDH, what the HELL is wrong with you manufacturers?????????
