What brand do u folks recommend?  We are looking in the 30K price range and I want all the comforts of home, which means a slide out or 2.  We have looked at Circle J which is over 30K and at Bloomers which is WAY out of our price range.  Do you think used slightly is a better way to go?  We are looking for something for camping and also have 2 mules, and show 2 mini horses.  Thanks for any input, advice, or contributions. (We are in the Phoenix metro area)

Everyone has their favorite brands.  Mine happen to be 4-star, Elite, and C&C because they are built like tanks.  I look at many of the brands every year at Congress.  My husband actually likes to go out there just to do that too.  He has a machining and fabricating business that deals with steel and aluminum and he can tell what is made well.  I can tell what works best for horses.

I bought a used '03 Exiss Event LQ this spring. Reason I bought used? New price was basically out of MY price range and there are soooo many nice used trailers out there that I had no problem with buying someone else's trailer. You can find a "used slightly" trailer that is a year or two old and pay much less than new. Mine was used two summers and was very well taken care of. Sure there are a few knicks here and there and the horse area has a few rubs here and there but overall the trailer is excellent used condition and I love it. This site was the best place to look for trailers and get a better idea of what I really wanted.

Good luck to you!! Happy trailer shopping!

I spoke to a dealer who is up in Reno at a show right now, and he said I could get a nice used one for under 30k, and he might bring some back to this area.  Thanks for all your answers to my questions, and I want to do the research so I don't buy a lemon!

 This isn't an ad.

Four the money you talking about I would buy a new one. I picked on out exciss withall the amenities. A four horse with lq for 35990. Try calling Dixie horse and mule co. in alabama. the sight is on the web, you will to search for the sight. There are three locations. Ask for Don. He is the head honcho. And they also deliver.

Thanks all who took the time to reply - but the search is over I think, as long as we qualify for financing. I pondered buying from somewhere like Alabama or Texas but so far to travel for something you can't see til you get there.  And the cost of shipping - well you pay either way!  We got a Circle J and it is new and just what we wanted.  Looks like I will be going on a lot more camping trips and horse shows in comfort!
