...pros and cons? Never have had padded stall dividers. Reasons to order them, or not, on my trailer?

My Exiss trailer does not have them. All my previous trailers did. Do I miss them? No. It would be one more thing to have to fix or clean. They can rip and you can either duck tape them or replace them. Not to mention the hair and dirt that gets trapped behind them. They do serve a purpose though and I wondered about how my horse would be in a trailer without them. He is fine, travels well. To me, it is more of a luxury than a necessity in a trailer. It is really up to you to decide what you want in your trailer.

Hi cinqchevaux,

When we bought our trailer I did not order the pads due to the fact that it is something I can do myself for alot less that what the dearler would want to charge. I agree with MI farmbabe, they are a luxury but they are not that expensive to install and it's not that difficult to do. You can check my website and see.

MiFarmBabe; Good to hear from you, since you've had both, with and without pads. I figured they are a luxury, but wanted some compelling reason to get them. I'm leaning towards not, since I've never missed them on my old trailer. Thanks for your reply.

Todd; Checked out your website---you have a Hart trailer: I just ordered one! It's the Ultimate model and stall pads are included in the price, which is why I was asking about them. Frankly I'm probably not going to have pads installed, as I'm concerned about the saddle catching on the pads, and as MIFarmBabe said, they tear, and collect dirt. They can always be installed later, if I feel the necessity.

How long have you had your trailer, and are you happy with it?

Thanks, Debbie

We have had it for a year now and love it. It's a Medallion which is the basic model but it's easy to pull and has plenty of room for our horses and it's extremely well built. We couldn't be happier. You bought a hell of a trailer.

Safe Riding,
Todd
