Hi:
We have a LQ trailer and like many installed LQ, there is a place for a small TV and it has an antennae booster. Before I got buy a TV, can anyone tell me if you get any reception with this "booster"? For the most part we will be in remote areas or at races in towns and I just wondered what other peoples experiences are? I don't give a darn about a TV, but it will keep hubby happy if it works.

Do you have an antenna on the roof? That certainly helps but, if you are in "the middle of nowhere", USA, you probably won't pull much in. I have a DVD in my TV and keep a stash of old TV shows and some movies. That works for me.

I have had mine for 3 or 4 years. Most places don't have good enough reception. Get a DVD player/TV, then you can watch something. I don't use mine much at all even to watch DVD's. I'm usually too tired. I wouldn't miss it.

I have a sattilite dish in mine and still have not figured out how it works.I take my reciever out of the house and hook it up in the trailer but i never know which way to turn it to pick up a signal.Any suggestions??

Oh cripe Reg, does that mean I have to put a compass in my trailer now?
As for the original question. Yes an antennae booster will help your situation, as long as you have the antennae on your trailer. Hey, keep the hubby happy, so you both will be happy(not to mention who agreed to the new trailer!).

So, thats where the guys are... I don't mind carrying a water bucket to see all the lovely ladies at the horse show. Just got to keep the sunglasses on so as I don't get caught looking, otherwise I'll probably be sent to watch TV too.

OK, I'll say it again. "I am not a camper." (though I am "directionaly aware")
Howeverrrrrr, when I get to a show site I do consider the time of day, position of the sun and the likely SHADE PATH so that I can park facing east/west if possible and have shade on the north side of the trailer. Failing that I'll try to park on the north side of a line of trees. The only compass I carry sort of comes with the laptop, GPS and Street Atlas - which is how I find the site itself.
East is (more or less) where the sun's rays are coming from when they shine in your eyes in the EARLY morning. If you face that way South will be to your right (-:
Sometimes known as "where the sun is at noon."
My preference when I get away from home is to get away from home, including and perhaps ESPECIALLY the TV.

I was at a show that was 126 miles south of chicago and was able to get one channel. But it wasn't so bad- I watched Tv at night mostly. That was the most remote area I have been too otherwise I have been getting pretty decent reception.
