Hello everyone,

I will be buying my first trailer as soon as I figure out which one would be best . I'm hoping you folks can point me in the right direction.  I live in Florida so need good air flow and will be pulling it with a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi Quadcab.

2H BP Slant w/load-unload ramp, TB height, W I D E enough for a Percheron/TBx, roomy area for tack, hay, feed, water, etc.

Help!

Thanks,

Donna

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
If you've already decided on a slant load you'll need to read all the threads about special ordering for wide and extra wide, special order slant angles for long horses, etc.
So I suggest some searches for those sorts of keywords, there is FAR too much info in the old threads for any one of us to gather up and regurgitate.

Living in Florida, you will want to stick with aluminum. The humidity wreaks havoc on steel.

I live on the coast too, and I can testify that if you keep it under cover, and keep the inside cleaned out after use, then it will last you a long time.

If you leave it outside, it will rust to the ground in no time.

We have a ranch king 20' cattle trailer that is 25+ years old, and you cannot tell that its over 10.  We keep it under cover, and cleaned out.
