Hello all, I am new here and I was told this was the place to come with questions regarding trailers.

I am looking at buying my first trailer.  Whoo hoooo!  I don't need anything fancy and am looking at a new Pace Setter 3 horse slant.  It is VERY basic but I think it will be ok for what I need it for.  What can you all tell me abotu the quality of these trailers?

Welcome .. Buying your first trailer is indeed a Whoo Haaa!... event.

Tell us more about the trailer (GN? weight? LQ?) & what you intend to pull it with.  You'll get a bunch of "Opinions" but it is most important to match your trailer with a tow vehicle.  Otherwise your new trailer could be a very expensive and dangerous mistake.

Hosspuller is right about matching the size of trailer and tow vehicle. Can't help you with the Pace Setter as there aren't many down in our part of the country. If there are a lot up there, I'd ask someone I know who has one.Good Luck

I have a 3/4 ton chevy diesel.  The trailer is a gooseneck with unfinished dressing/living quarters.  The tack is on the side of the trailer so the rear door opens up like a stock trailer.  It is a 3 horse slant, 7' tall 7' wide.  I have Arab/pintos and also two Percherons.  The pintos are the ones we would be hauling the most but need a 7' if we ever need to haul the big boys.
