I have an old (1968) John Royle 2 horse trailer. It is not tall enough to fit my newest horse, only 6 ft high. Is it possible to raise the roof 18 inches without compromising the structure?

Sure ... But not likely to be worthwhile money or time wise.  You'll have to take the trailer to someone to look at it or contact someone familar with the trailer.

Another question .. if your horse is too tall, is he too long for your trailer?
