Hi there,

We just bought a 1999 Sundowner gooseneck 3h slant,
7' tall 6'9" wide, 42" stall width. I was originally
worried about the height for my 2 horses ( 16.1 and 16.2hh)
but they seem fine with it.

The BIG issue is that they are a bit too long to fit in the
stalls, with the dividers in the standard positions. We
did take out the first divider (closest to the tack room)
and were hoping that the telescoping divider would swing
into the first divider's latch position, making a bigger
front stall area. The telescoper works fine for the
distance, but the catch is at a slightly wrong angle
for the receiving lug in the receeded part on the wall.

Question: any way we could remove the existing lug and
add a new lug at the right angle ( more horizontal) to
receive the telescoping divider going straight across?
Any other suggestions?

If we can get this to work then we will be able to use
the 3h as a 2h....

Thanks for your help!

The hard part is raising the roof.

Welcome to the board...

The latch lug is recessed to protect the horse.  What you want to do will create a hazard.  a protruding lug  But if you still want to.... my thoughts :  the lug has a torx bolt in the center.  Remove it and have a machine shop make a small metal block with two holes.  One a through hole to attach the block to the existing hole, two a threaded hole to reattach the existing lug at the proper angle.  You could switch back to a three stall configuration with 3 minutes and a torx wrench
