I am looking at two trailers both 2005 one is an Exiss ss30 the other is a Kiefer Built Genisis X-3, both 3 horse bumper pulls.  I was wondering what everyone thought about these two trailers.  I really like the Kiefer Built, but am worried about the welds,  the Exiss has cleaner welds but is very plain jane, just wanted some opinions.  thanks.

the exiss is the better trailer all the way around. it has a stronger floor "interlocking tounge and groove". the keifer has a rolled flat sheet aluminum "very thin". the exiss also has better welds, the keifer is spot weld. the exiss also has a 7 yr. warranty, the keifer has 3 yr. we have had a exiss trailer for 3 year and love it.

Both very good trailers - hard to go wrong with either.

I found Kiefer to be pretty high quality, good welds, and solid construction.  So I bought one - Genesis 440 LQ.  Spot welded?   Where did you see that?  Mine sure as heck isn't spot welded...

Some Kiefer marketing material - info about the floors (extruded , I-beam support, etc).

http://www.kieferbuiltinc.com/4ways.htm

Check the warranty facts.  Kiefer's warranty is 3 years leak proof (nice), 3 years bumper to hitch, and 8 years structural.

Exiss warranty - from the web site:

"Exiss has one of the best warranties in the business. Our Event trailers come with a three-year limited/seven-year structural warranty. Our Sport trailers come with a one-year limited/five-year structural warranty, while our Mach 10 trailers come with a one-year limited/three-year structural warranty."

Read the marketing material on each, get the facts, check out the trailers thoroughly and talk to folks who have owned both.

Kiefer has a 3yr hitch to bumper warranty and a 8yr structure.  it also has a very strong floor not a rolled out piece of sheet aluminum.

I bought a Keifer as my first LQ trailer. Had a stock trailer before. Couldn't be happier!Good luck making a decision! When I was looking, I was looking more for features than brands. The group I ride with each have a different brand, so it really depends on what you're looking for and who offers you the best deal.

So, is "THE TRUTH" really an Exiss dealer???? Especially since most of what he says about a Kiefer is blatently false..... Reality- tongue & groove aluminum plank floor. 8 year warranty, welds as needed- spot, stitch, or solid. Hmmm.

Exiss- Similar features. slightly different warranty.

IMO- Find a local dealer you can trust, like, & work with. Buy from her. Period.
