Does anyone know of a website that lists Equine Vets by state? I am moving my three horses from Virginia to Oklahoma this fall and want to have a listing of vets along the way in case of emergency. Thanks.

When I traveled last year I googled yellow pages for boarding facilities in several cities along the way. I then called the boarding facilities for references.

From what I read US Rider ( kinda like AAA ) from another thread in trailer talk forum, provides a list of emergency contacts ( vets, stables, ect ) while traveling. Might be worth checking out.

Here's a number for Am. Assoc.of Equine Practioners 800-438-2386
I'm not sure if this is the number also that you can find out what kind of papers, shots, and how current coggins need to be also. I haven't called it in a while. If not I'll search for the state requirements also.
Happy Safe Trials

Shari has the rite # 1-800-GETADVM, you might not get a vet with all the answers, but will be able to help in an emergency.
