Can anyone tell me what trailers would be comparable to the Merhow? I have found a used one a 4 horse gooseneck with a 10ft LQ. It looks like in pretty good condition. The dealer is asking $29995.00. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Merhow makes a very nice trailer. You will see a lot of old Merhows around the shows in Indiana, as they seem to hold up forever. I looked at a new Merhow last year, but felt the price was a little steep. They are, unless you get the top end, steel framed and aluminum skinned trailers. You could probably buy a brand new American Spirit or Bison (if you like them), for less than 10 grand more.

We bought a new 3 horse w/ lq last year and love it.

We are on the road usually 9-12 days a month. Have even stayed in it in the winter ( it was 14 degrees at night) .

We found it well built , camper friendly and horse friendly.

I absolutely love my Merhow.  Ive had it just over a year and still giving it a thumbs up!  In my opinion, Merhow was one of the first premium trailers out there.  They have a good history.

They are not well known in my area and we drove to get one but it was worth it.

Good Luck!

I had an 01 Merhow Gooseneck, and thought it was about the cheapest built thing going.

The wall that separated the dressing room from the horse quarters didn't even extend flush to the ceiling, so it was always getting a bunch of durn bugs coming into my camper.

The resale value also was pretty poor, I'd bought it new, pulled it for two years, and got about half of the list price that was still attached to the wall, in spite of some small improvements that had been made, such as electrical outlets added and reading lights installed in bunk.
