Subject: Fiberglass roof trim 2005 keifer built

Have a 05 Keifer Built with a fiberglass roof, and the metal trim that attaches the roof to the body with rivots needs to be resealed. Any idea on how to go about this? Do i need to take the whole roof off to reseal under fiberglass? Just take the trim off and put new sealer under it and re rivet? What is the trim piece even called? Never done anything like this before so any and all insight is helpful.

Location: White Pine, TN		We'd take it off before re-sealing.  New trim and the insert is available from Dexter.

By take it off, assuming you’re talking about the roof, what do I use to seal the fiberglass to the sidewalls?

Location: Tenn/Ala.		I believe Tobruk was referring to taking off the trim.
