I just bought a living quarters trailer that doesn't have a generator. I'd like to put it in the rear tack. Has anyone installed one on the pull out trays? If so. Would you just pull it out and then leave the back tack door open while its running?

What kind of generator exactly do you mean? A true portable standalone unit should be fine with that, provided it is a tray stout enough to handle the vibration. A built in Onan breathes through the bottom, so it wouldn't work so well like that.
