Hey RichB, I see by your location you're in Palmdale Ca. I'm from that area and my father in law told me about a horse being killed by a train out there. Do you have or know any more details? He said the horse threw the rider, then was hit by a train.

Hi Marn,
Nope, didn't hear about that. However, it sounds plausible. There was a PRCA rodeo being held all weekend long, just 1 block from the train tracks and the new Palmdale trainstation. That sounds like a series of unfortunate events.

Thanks for the reply. We used to live in Littlerock when we had horses. I loved riding for hours in the desert. There weren't very many fences to stop me. When I was younger, I would chase down coyotes. I had fun out there. I love it here in Iowa, though and have never looked back on moving. Have a great week!

Hi Marn,
I used to live in Littlerock too, before moving to Palmdale, West Palmdale that is. You wouldn't believe what homes are going for out here now. I can still ride out from my place into the desert, but it's getting more and more crowded. Lots of jerks up here now with no consideration for horses. We are planning on moving too, but that will be a while.
