ok. can someone give me very simple directions? I have the written ones but am still confused. sorry..- i have a one ton duelly, and i haul a 2H BP Logan slant, almost always with just one 950-1000# horse. ok, when idling , foot off the brake, i adust the lever underneath to 6.o then go 25 mph and, do exactly what? which button(s) lever(s) do i hold at 25mph? I have tried it and cannot seem to feel the trailer start to "lock-up" ( so that I can adjust downwards) as the directions suggest.. yes, it is connected, there is a C. thanks...

there is a slide lever on the bottom of the unit. it moves from right to left, full left will give you the full 6 volts you have programed in with the blue dial. 6 volts is the starting point, roll down your windows and listen for the tires on the trailer to skid/lock up as you move the slide lever to full left(do so in one quick motion or youll lose to much speed while coasting), do not apply the trucks brake pedal during this operation. if the brakes lock excessivly (tires skiding) turn down the voltage with the blue dial, if they do not lock turn up the voltage. trailer brakes vary as far as actually locking up, as stated in the prodigy manual not all brakes will. i too have a 2h bp slant and they do not lock up hard. my prodigy is set at 8.5 volts with no boost, that gives me the smoothest performance with my driving style. the boost feature(set with the blue button) sets how much output to the brakes with the inital application of the tow vehicle brakes, most people ive talked to say any boost at low to medium speeds grabs to hard and makes the horses mad. youll just have to adjust for your situation. plenty of good help on this forum.
